Abstract

To improve the quality of education the government is attepting to achieve national goals contained in the Act – Act 20 of 2003 which reads:”The whole educational component that serves to develop skills related to each other and from the character and civilization of the nation’s intellectual life in order nations and aims to developing the potential students to become a human being faithful and devoted to god almaighty, noble, healty, knowledgeable, skilled, creative, independent, and become citizens of a democratic and responsible”. The problem in the study is how the application checks the pair learning model can improve student achievement in integer materials in class VII junior seminary buana weetabula rays. To answer these questions, researchers conducted a class action in order to obtain a clear picture of the effectiveness of learning model pair checks on student achievement on a matter of integers. In order for the above purpose can be achieved, the researchers collected by means of observation and test. Observation include the ability of teacher to manage learning in the classroom, student in cooperative learning skill and interviews with subject teachers, while test performed at the and of each sycle. The results obtained show that the learning model is suitable checks pair seen from the – average student at the end of the cycle has increased from 70 to 72,5 or an increased of 2,50 and thoroughness of student also increased from 65% to 85%. Based on the results obtained, the researchers concluded that the pair checks learning model can improve student learning outcomes in the matter of numbers. From the above conclusions, the researchers suggest that teachers mathematics learning model can be applied to other materials.
