Abstract

This research aims to determine whether there is effect of self-concept and learning anxiety about the ability to solve mathematics problems on the subject of comparison class VII junior High School Adisucipto Penfui Kupang academic year 2017/2018 which amounted to 81 people. The data used in this research is the data of test and of questionnaire. The data obtained were analyzed using SPSS version 22 program. Prior to hypothesis testing, prerequisite test was performed on normality, test for ses data and questionnaire. In this case if the calculation results show significant (2-tailed) <0.05 H0 is rejected. From the results of data analysis test obtained Asymp.Sig value. (2- tailed)=0,083 > 0,05 then H0 is accepted, thus it is concluded that the data is normally distributed. From the questionnaire data of self-concept, the value of Asymp Sig (2-tailed)= 0,097>0,05, then H0 is received and from the questionnaire data of learning anxiety obtained by Asymp Sig. .(2-tailed)=0,091>0,05 H0 is accepted thus it is concluded that the data is normally distributed. Multiple linear regression equation from result of research that is __ = 16,057 + 0,631 X1 + 0,364X2 Hypothesis test using partial test, after self-concept data is analyzed obtained t count = 4,272 ≥ 1,66 = t table and significant value in self concept = 0,000 < 0,05 then H0 accepted, which means self concept significantly effect on the ability to solve mathematics problems. While the learning anxiety data were analyzed obtained t count = 2,686 ≥ 1,66 = t table with significant value = 0,009 < 0,05 then H0 accepted, which mean learning anxiety significantly effect to ability to solve mathematics problems.. Hypothesis testing using simultaneous test, after data analyzed obtained sig value (2-tailed) = 0,000 < 0,05 and F hitung = 153,798 > 3,11 F tabel then receive H0. So it is concluded there is a significant effect of self concept and learning anxiety of the ability to solve mathematics problems students of class VII junior High School Adisucipto Penfui Kupang academic year 2017/2018
