Abstract
The formulation of the problem in this research is whether there is effect between the interest of learning and the attention of parents to the achievement of learning mathematics. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of interest and attention of parents to the achievement of learning mathematics students of class X SMAN 5 Kupang academic year 2017/2018 material inverse function. The type of research used is quantitative research with analytical techniques used are descriptive and inferential data analysis using SPSS 22.0 for windows. The population in this research is the students of class X IPA SMAN 5 Kupang with research sample consisted of 80 students taken randomly using random table Data collection technique using questionnaires, interviews and mathematics achievement test. Based on the descriptive analysis, the level of interest categories of students 'learning toward mathematics learning achievement is good and the level of attention of the parents on the students' mathematics learning achievement is good. Multiple linear regression equation from result of research that is Y = 10,659 + 0,585 X1 + 0,973X2. Hypothesis test using partial test, after learning interest data were analyzed obtained tcount = 2,435 ≥ 1,991 = ttable and significant value on study habits = 0,017 0,05 then Ho accepted, which mean parent attention not significantly effect to student achievement. Hypothesis testing using simultaneous test, after the data were analyzed obtained sig value (2tailed) = 0,000 3,12 = Ftabel then H0 rejected, which mean interest and attention of parent significantly effect on learning achievement mathematics students. It can be concluded that there is a significant effect simultaneously from the interest and attention of parents to the achievement of learning mathematics subject of inverse function
