Abstract

The ability of mathematical connections is the ability to solve mathematical problems that have links to the material studied previously. This ability is important, but in classroom learning it is often found that many students are able to register mathematical concepts related to real problems, but only a few students are able to explain why the concept is used in the application. Thus, connection skills need to be trained by school students. One of the effective learning models used to achieve students' mathematical connection skills is the quantum teaching learning model. Quantum teaching is a learning process by providing background and strategies to improve the teaching and learning process and make the process more enjoyable. In addition, one of the effective learning methods in achieving students' mathematical connection skills is mind mapping. mind mapping can help students to map existing mathematical concepts in accordance with the learning material. If the collaboration model and method is collaborated, it is expected that it can influence students' mathematical connection skills. The results showed the influence of the quantum teaching learning model with mind map method (mind mapping) on mathematical connection skills.
