Abstract
The purpose of this study is to describe the creative thinking of high school students in submitting the subject matter of a linear program. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study with subjects as many as 2 people who have the same mathematical abilities as the same. Subject selection is based on consultation with mathematics teacher and supported by the values achieved by students, namely linear program daily test scores, semester 1 final exam scores and semester 1 report card grades. The process of data collection is done by providing Problem Solving Tasks (TPM) and interviews. Both subjects were given TPM containing 2 modified questions from the National Exams in 2018 to obtain data on students' creative thinking in submitting problems. Creative thinking assessment is based on the assessment of TPM completed by the subject with a review of 3 indicators of creativity, namely fluency (asking many problems that can be solved), flexibility (various ways used to solve the proposed problem), and novelty (proposing different new problems from the problem previous. The results showed that the two subjects were able to fulfill all three indicators of creativity, namely fluency, flexibility, and novelty.
