Abstract
The cooperative learning model of numbered head together type cosists of four levels that used for students interaction. NHT is used to involved as many students in searching a topic of a lesson and to check their understanding of the lesson. The problem in this study are (1) How the teacher ability in manage learning process that use NHT type of cooperative learning model? (2) How the students develop their cooperative skill in studying activity by using NHT type of cooperative learning model? (3) How is thoroughness the studying result indicator of the students in learning who apply the NHT type of cooperative learning model? (4) How is thoroughness the studying result test of the students in learning who apply the NHT type of cooperative learning model? (5) How the response of the students upon the studying activity that use the NHT of cooperative learning model?. The main aim of the study is to the describe the result of applying the NHT type of cooperative learning model with the main topic sonar system to the VII D grades student at SMP Negeri 4 Kupang academy year 2018/2019. Detaily, the aims of the study are (1) Describe the teacher capability in managing learnig process that use the NHT type of cooperative studyng model. (2) Describe the cooperative skill of the students in studying activity who apply the NHT type of cooperative studying model. (3) describe thoroughness the studying result indicator of the students who apply the NHT type of cooperative studying model. (4) Describe thoroughness the studying result test of the students who apply the NHT type of cooperative studying model. (5) Describe the response of the students upon the studying activity that use the NHT type of cooperative studying model. The type of this research is descriptive research. The subject of research are the teacher (researcher) and students of class VII D at SMP Negeri 4 Kupang academy year 2018/2019, that are 32 students. The research subjects used purposive sampling technique. The research design used was one-group pretest-posttest design. Data collection techniques used are observation, tests and questionnaires. While the instruments used in this study are learning management observation sheets, cognitive learning outcomes tests. Affective and psychomotor learning outcomes assessment sheets, student cooperative skill observation sheets and student response sheets. The technique of analyzing the results of the research used is descriptive analysis which includes the calculation of the average score, proportion and percentage. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that learning by applying the Numbered Head Together (NHT) cooperative learning model of the subject matter of the solar system to students of class VII D of SMP Negeri 4 Kupang with 32 people was optimal. In detail (1) the ability of teachers to manage learning which includes planning, implementing and planning learning evaluation is good with an average score of 3.90; 3.75; 3.92. (2) cooperative skills of students which include being on assignments, taking turns and sharing assignments, encouraging participation, asking questions or answering and listening actively in general are in the effective range set. (3) indicators of cognitive, affective and psychomotor learning outcomes all completed with a proportion of 0.80; 0.86; 0.91. (4) the learning outcomes of students (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) are mostly complete with an average proportion of 0.79; 0.86; 0.92. (5) participants' responses to learning include preliminary activities, core activities, closing activities, management of class time and atmosphere very well with an average percentage of 92.4%.
