Abstract

One-of-a-kind ensembles are musical performances that play songs together with the same type of musical instrument. At SMA Negeri 1 Aimere, ensemble music is also taught in class, but more on theoretical knowledge. This is not in line with the competencies expected in ensemble music learning, namely students are able to play ensemble music well. Based on the description above, this study aims to introduce similar ensemble playing to students interested in guitar at SMA Negeri 1 Aimere with the song dhegha-dhegha using imitation and drill methods. The results showed that efforts to introduce guitar-like ensemble playing for students interested in music at SMA Negeri 1 Aimere with the dhrgha-dhrgha song model using the imitation and drill method were carried out in the following stages: the initial stage, conducting the interview process and then recruiting members interested in guitar, determining the schedule practice, and provide material about guitar knowledge. Furthermore, the core stage of applying the basic techniques of strumming and apoyando is through playing etude-etude and continuing with the practice of sheet music for dhegha-dhegha songs in the form of similar ensembles. The final stage, staging as well as taking a video. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that students interested in guitar at SMA Negeri 1 Aimere can play similar ensembles through a training process, so that students can play dhegha-dhegha songs. Even though there are various difficulties, these can be overcome by using imitation and drill methods.
