Abstract
The city of Kupang is a densely populated area where there are also trading activities for goods and services.This area which is located in the Oebobo District has a very high attractiveness which results in high commercial activity such as motorized vehicle and pedestarian traffic. The availability of various typesmof activities in this area causes the volume of movement of people from one activity to another in this area is quite high. This transfer can be through motorized vehicle access or by walking access. Purpose of this study is to identify whether or not complexity of highway (pedestrian, bus stops and pedestrian bridge) can use easier by the disability, to find out condition and accessibility of highway infrastructure the disability according to citizens. This study analized by direct observation in the study area.The results of this study showed that the sidewalk in Oebobo Districts street in bad condition for disability people such as the backstop on the pedestrian, bus stops are too high, and pedestrian bridges are very harmful for users. It is also in accordance with the survey results to the citizens, and diffable people expressed the sidewalk facilities function in terms of facility safety, comfort, human safety, convenience, usability, independence and accessibility of the disabled path is worse. About sidewalk must be able to accommodate many pedestrian activities by smoothly and safely, and in terms of the feasibility of the physical conditions (materials) can be used by everyone, respondents agreed. But the government were not aware how importance of accessibility on public roads.
