Abstract

This study entitled "Analysis of Potential Traffic Congestion in the Kupang City Area Based on the Travel Speed Index on Jalan Cak Doko Kupang City (Case Study: Simpang Tiga Jalan Nangka - Simpang Empat SMPN 02)", has a problem formulation of what is the value of the travel speed index on the Cak Doko Kota road Kupang, what are the factors that influence the activity index value, how to overcome the level of traffic congestion in the urban area of Kupang city based on the travel speed index on Jalan Cak-Doko, Kupang city. The purpose of this study was to determine the value of the travel speed index on the Cak-Doko street in Kupang city, to find out the factors that influence the activity index value, to find out how to overcome the level of traffic congestion in the Kupang urban area based on the travel speed index on the Cak-Doko road in Kupang city. This research was carried out by direct observation at a location that required road geometric data, side friction, and speed, in the data processing it required secondary data including the number of traffic accidents and land use data (activity density).
