Abstract

Adelfi Adolya Thene 42119055, Application of Personnel Management Information System (SIMPEG) in Improving Employee Work Effectiveness was guided by Drs. Frans Nyong, M.Si as Supervisor I and Karolus Tatusius, SH, M.Si as Supervisor II, Application of Personnel Management Information System (SIMPEG) in Improving Employee Work Effectiveness (Regional Civil Service Agency of East Nusa Tenggara Province). This research is focused on two formulations of problems, that is how the effectiveness of employee work in the use of Personnel Management Information Systems and efforts made to improve employee work effectiveness. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive while the data collection technique is by interview and direct observation. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with three people from this study. Researchers found problems with work effectiveness in the use of SIMPEG that occurred including updating the State Civil Apparatus data that was late so that there was employee data that had not been updated, data collection by the State Civil Apparatus was done manually by providing files to the Sub-Field of Personnel Information System to be entered in SIMPEG by the operator so that the State Civil Apparatus could not fill in the data anytime and anywhere independently, there are still the State Civil Apparatus who have not completed their data on SIMPEG, as well as limited human resources so that the data input process is late. These problems result in a decrease in the effectiveness of employee work and affect decision making by the leadership. Based on research and data analysis by referring to 4 indicators of Management Information Systems to measure employee work effectiveness, namely: system quality, information quality, user use and satisfaction therefore researchers see that the effectiveness of employee work is less than optimal in the application of SIMPEG on the quality of inaccurate information caused by delays in submitting FIP by the State Civil Apparatus, resulting in decreased work effectiveness of the State Civil Apparatus in completing tasks and responsibilities on time. An attempt to overcome this work effectiveness problem are with motivation and encouragement from the leadership and socialization of the Independent Data Update program by the State Civil Apparatus by being given the opportunity to complete personal data. The suggestion in this study is expected to build online-based employee data management as a solution in meeting the availability of relevant, accurate, timely and trustworthy personnel data and need to additional human resources in managing SIMPEG seen from the number of operators in SIMPEG which only consists of 4 people.
