Abstract

Transportation in Kupang City has an important role in the movement of people and goods using public transportation services. One of the urban public transportation services in Kupang city is a city transportation mini bus commonly called a bemo. In Kupang City there is a very high number of traffic accidents. Based on data from the Central Bureau of Statistics of East Nusa Tenggara Province, during the time bracket of 2018 to 2021 there were 1,515 minor injuries, 292 serious injuries, and 157 fatalities who died due to traffic accidents (East Nusa Tengga ra Provincial Statistics Agency). Therefore, people need to know locations that are prone to accidents. So that the number of accidents can be reduced, by knowing the vulnerable location. With the analysis method Analysis of traffic accident-prone areas can be known accident-prone areas (blacksite) or accident-prone areas (Blackspot) Based on the results of analysis on collector roads using the calculation method of accident-prone area analysis, areas that are very vulnerable, vulnerable and quite vulnerable areas are obtained and mapped using the Quantum Geographic Information System (Qgis)
