Abstract

Mixed ensembles are playing music together using more than one type of musical instrument. In learning mixed ensembles, OMK Santo Agustinus, Lewopulo Village, can play musical instruments such as: Gambus, Guitar, Keyboard, Bass Guitar and bells. However, to apply it in the form of an ensemble to accompany the singing or choir of St. Augustine's OMK, I have never done it. The main problem in this study is how to introduce a mixed ensemble as an accompaniment to Piet Lonek's Oron Sorak song for OMK Santo Agustinus, Lewopolo Village, Witihama District, East Flores Regency. The purpose of this study was to find out the process of introducing a mixed ensemble as accompaniment to Piet Lonek's Oron Sorak song for OMK Santo Agustinus, Lewopulo Village, Witihama District, East Flores Regency. The type of research used in this study is a qualitative approach, the method used is the field action method. To obtain data, researchers used library study techniques, field studies, and documentation. The results of the study showed that the learning process was carried out through the following steps: the initial stage was the first meeting where the researcher recruited OMK members of Saint Augustine Lewopulo Village. The researcher also explained the aims and objectives of the research, introduced, provided material about the mix ensemble and Oron Sorak song. The researcher divided the participants into groups based on the instrument being played. The final stage of the research here the researcher provides the Oron Sorak song, at this stage the research subjects are required to be able to apply what has been learned in this song and presented in the form of an ensemble performance and documented as the final form of research. Based on the results of the research above, it can be concluded that introducing a mixed ensemble as an accompaniment to Piet Lonek's oron cheering song for OMK Saint Augustine, Lewopulo Village, Witihama District, East Flores Regency was successful and quite effective in improving the skills of OMK Saint Augustine, Lewopulo Village
