Abstract

Dance is an expression of the body that is created from the experiences, feelings and feelings experienced by humans so that it is made in beautiful gestures. The problem in this research is the lack of knowledge of the private high school students Sta. Familia Sikumana, Kupang City, about a dance originating from the Ende area. Art performances or events held at school only bring the same dances, namely dances from the Rote, Timor and Bajawa regions. There are two problems in this study, namely, what is the process of implementing the Tedo Kema dance for students interested in dancing at the private high school Sta. Familia Sikumana, and how the presentation of the modified Tedo Kema dance for private high school students Sat. Familia. The purpose of this study was to find out the process of implementing the modified Tedo Kema dance and to find out the presentation of the Tedo Kema dance to private high school students, Sta. Sikumana Family. By using the Drill and Imitation methods. The approach in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach, with the field action method. The subjects in this study were ten students of class X, consisting of eight female students and two male students. Data collection was obtained through literature studies and field studies (observations, interviews and documentation). The Tedo Kema dance learning process is divided into three stages, namely, the initial stage which is recruitment and determining the training schedule, the core stage is the application of the Tedo Kema creation dance and the final stage is taking the video results. Based on the results it can be concluded that in the application of the Tedo Kema dance using the Drill and Imitation method to Sta.Familia Sikumana Private High School students who are interested in dancing, it is found that in the presentation of the Tedo Kema dance even though the students have never danced the dance from Ende, but by doing repeated exercises With repetition and discipline, they are able to achieve the aspects of wiraga, wirama and wirasa quite well.
