Abstract

This thesis is entitled Analysis of the Successful Implementation of the Stunting Prevention Program for Toddlers in Makamenggit Village, Nggaha Ori Angu District, East Sumba Regency in 2020-2022. The formulation of the problem in writing this thesis is How to Analyze the Success of Implementation of the Stunting Management Program for Toddlers in Makamenggit Village, Nggaha Ori Angu District, East Sumba Regency in 2020-2022. The theory used by researchers in solving research problems is policy implementation. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Primary data sources are informants while secondary data are documents related to research variables. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis stage was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing stage and then analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The research results show that (1). Aspects of communication in the form of stunting education and awareness campaigns for pregnant women and young women as well as the production and distribution of leaflets, banners, billboards, posters and outreach to the community about stunting by posyandu cadres and health workers. (2) The aspect of resources in the form of a lack of number of health workers which is not proportional to the size of the working area and the number of villagers. The small budget in handling stunting where the budget used is mostly used to incentivize cadres and village health workers. Facility support in handling stunting is quite good, this can be seen from the Pustu and Posyandu buildings as well as the production of leaflets, banners and billboards containing stunting handling. (3) Positional Aspects in the form of commitment and alignment by posyandu cadres and health workers in providing counseling services, counseling and providing nutrition to the community. Commitment from posyandu cadres and health workers in tackling stunting has been going well, but their real work is not commensurate with the wages given, where the wages for posyandu cadres are only IDR 250,000/month while health workers are IDR 1,500,000/month. (4) Aspects of the bureaucratic structure in the form of handling stunting in work according to the SOP, namely Presidential Regulation Number 72 of 2021 concerning accelerating the reduction of stunting and NTT Governor Decree Number 324/KEP/HK/2018 concerning the Commission for the Acceleration of Stunting Handling in the NTT province nutrition sensitive and nutrition intervention programs Specific. Good coordination between the East Sumba District Health Office, Puskesmas, health workers and posyandu cadres in providing counseling, counseling and nutritional intake to the community Based on the results of the analysis above, the authors conclude that the handling of stunting from the aspects of communication, disposition and bureaucratic structure has been going well while from the aspect of resources it has not gone well as can be seen from the small budget and the number of health workers in handling stunting Keywords: Implementation, Stunting, Makamenggit Village
