Abstract

Thesis entitled "Analysis of Financial Performance in Cigarette Companies Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2018 - 2021", written by Maria Roswita Takene. NIM 811211037MM, under the guidance of Dr. stanis Man, SE., M.Si as the first supervisor and Rere Paulina Bibiana, SE., M.Si as the second supervisor. This study aims to determine the comparisons and factors that distinguish the financial performance of cigarette companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2018-2021. Cigarette companies are one of the important elements of state property that must be considered because they can have an impact on the country's economy. If the tobacco company's financial performance is good, it will also have a good impact on the country's economy, and vice versa if the company's financial performance is bad, it will have a bad impact on the country's economy. The type of data in this study is quantitative data, namely the type of business data that can be measured or calculated directly, in the form of information and explanations expressed in numbers or in the form of numbers with the data collection technique used is document study. The research sample used is 4 Cigarette Companies Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Data analysis techniques in this study using financial ratio analysis. To determine the weight of good or poor financial performance of tobacco companies, it is determined by calculating financial ratios based on an analysis of financial statements according to Kasmir 2018, 2019 and Jumingan 2014. The research results show that: (1) PT. Gudang Garam Tbk. shows that the company's financial performance is in the unhealthy category. (2) PT. Hanjaya Mandala Sampoerna Tbk. shows that the company's financial performance is in the healthy category. (3) PT. Bentoel Internasional Investama Tbk. shows that the company's financial performance is in the unhealthy category. (4) PT. Wismilak Inti Makmur Tbk. shows that the company's financial performance is in the fairly healthy category. Based on the research results, it is suggested that companies can improve their existing performance, especially on the indicators Current Ratio, Quick Ratio, cash Ratio, DAR, DER, ROA, ROE, accounts receivable turnover, total assets, working capital.
