Abstract

The Indonesian Ferry Lake Pelayaran River Transport Company (PT. ASDP) provides public transportation services between nearby islands and connects to larger islands as well as facilitating access to the area via public transportation. The aim of this research is to design and develop a web-based ship ticket booking application from Kupang-Semau and vice versa from Semau to Kupang. However, departure information and the process of ordering ship tickets are still difficult to obtain and the provision of transportation services has not been optimal because it is still done manually. Therefore, it is necessary to design a web-based ship ticket booking application with a development model using the waterfall method and using the PHP programming language and MySQL database. The research methodology used is that customers or passengers visit the ticket purchase location at the ASDP port. There were build-ups and queues at both ASDP Kupang and ASDP Semau. For this, it is necessary to build a system that can order tickets online. To test the feasibility of the system, use black box testing. The final result of this research is a web-based ship ticket booking application and payments are made online.
