Abstract

Violence against children is any form of physical or emotional mistreatment, neglect or acts of control, corpsial exploitation and others that have an impact or potential endanger the child's health, survival, development or dignity of the child. One of the acts of violence against children is sexual abuse, most of the perpetrators are people known to the victim are the family of the child most often, namely; brothers, fathers, uncles, cousins, acquaintances such as friends, nannies, neighbors and strangers. In the case of child sexual abuse, for children in need of special protection who experience violence, mistreatment, neglect and exploitation within the family and need immediate services, social rehabilitation services are a strategy that can be carried out in temporary social rehabilitation centers. The formulation of the problem of how the parenting style carried out at the Efata Kupang Center in dealing with people who experience sexual violence. The purpose of the study was to determine the type of parenting style carried out at the Efata Kupang Center, in handling child victims who experienced sexual violence. This research is a qualitative research with research methods used to examine and understand the behavior of individuals or groups, and social phenomena in natural conditions, so that descriptive (non-quantitative) data are obtained in oral and / or written form, which are then interpreted descriptively. The results of research obtained regarding the parenting style of children victims of sexual violence at Efata Kupang Center, are that caregivers always provide attention, affection, freedom in developing the ability of children victims of sexual violence to participate in skill activities, and also all the needs of children victims of sexual violence are always met during the parenting period at Efata Kupang Center. Children victims of sexual violence also receive support from skills activity trainers, employees at the Efata Kupang Center, children victims of sexual violence are also always taught to obey the rules. Conclusion The type of parenting for victims of sexual violence applied at the Efata Kupang Center is a type of democratic parenting. While the types of authoritarian parenting, permissive parenting and sutisional parenting are not included in parenting children victims of sequential violence at the Efata Kupang Center. In caring for children victims of violence at Sentra Efata Kupang, caregivers foster children victims of sexual violence with all their affection to pay attention to the trauma recovery period for children victims of sexual violence who are in a state of trauma by always accompanying child victims of sexual violence in the recovery period.
