Abstract

Getrudis Iseng (33120095) Accounting study program of the Faculty of Economics and Business with the research title "The Influence of Financial Literacy and the Application of InformationTechnology on the Progress of MSMEs in the Digital Era (Case Study of MSMEs in Kota Lama District, Kupang City)" under the guidance of Mrs. Maria Goreti Malut, SE., MM as supervisor I and Mrs. Yustina Alfira Nay, SE, M.Acc as supervisor II. The formulation of the problems in this study are: (1) Does financial literacy have a partial effect on the progress of MSMEs in the digital era in Kota Lama District, Kupang City (2) Whether the application of information technology has a partial effect on the progress of MSMEs in the digital era in Kota Lama District, Kupang City (3) Whether financial literacy and the application of information technology have a simultaneous effect on the progress of MSMEs in the digital era in Kota Lama District, Kupang City. The objectives of this study are (1) To determine the partial influence of financial literacy on the progress of MSMEs in the digital era in Kota Lama District, Kupang City, (2) To find out the partial influence of the implementation of MSMEs in the digital era in Kota Lama District, Kupang City, (3) To determine the influence of financial literacy and the simultaneous application of Information technology on the progress of MSMEs in the digital era in Kota Lama District, Kupang City. The sample in this study is 93 out of the total population of 1,163 business units in Kota Lama District, Kupang City. The data collection technique uses questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique used is quantitative analysis processed using SPSS version 26. The results of the study show that partially, financial literacy has a significant effect on the progress of MSMEs with a regression coefficient of 0.136, a calculation of 2.2441>1.9864 and a significant value of 0.027982< 0.05. It is recommended to the government to hold free training and socialization on financial literacy and the application of information technology for MSMEs. MSME actors are expected to take part in training to improve financial management and the use of technology. In addition, for the next researcher, it is recommended to add other variables related to financial literacy and the application of information technology.
