Abstract

Alor Regency has many tourist attractions rich in culture and history. One of them is the traditional village, which is an attraction for tourists. The Alor Regency Tourism and Culture Office noted that there are five traditional village tourist attractions that can be visited. However, tourists often have difficulty planning their trips. This is because information about the location of traditional villages in Alor Regency is still not well available. Therefore, a Geographic Information System (GIS) application is needed that can show a map of the location of traditional villages. This application can help tourists find these places and get all the information and facilities available. The methodology in this study uses the waterfall method. This method consists of several important steps, such as analysis, design, coding, testing, and maintenance. In terms of software, PHP and MYSQL are used for the database. In addition, Mapbox is used to display maps. This Traditional Village Geographic Information System can make a positive contribution to preserving local culture, as a means of promotion for cultural tourism and providing information about traditional villages in Alor Regency. That way, the information presented on the web will be more interesting and more easily accessible to the wider community. Both local and international tourists will also find it easier to access this information.
