Abstract

This thesis is entitled “Analysis of the Role of the Village Consultative Body (Bpd) in Todo Village Development Planning, North Satarmese District - Manggarai Regency”. With the research objective to find out how the role of the Village Consultative Body in Todo Village Development Planning, North Satarmese District - Manggarai Regency. This research adopts the theory of Hanif Nurcholis, 2005: 140, namely the aspirations accommodator, the making and authorizing body and the supervisor of village policies which are included with the functions of the BPD, namely (1) discussing and agreeing on draft village regulations with the village head; (2) accommodating and channeling the aspirations of the village community; (3) supervising the performance of the village head. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The results showed that the implementation of the duties and functions of the Village Consultative Body (BPD) in Todo Village, namely discussing and agreeing on village regulations with the village head, accommodating and channeling community aspirations, has not been fully implemented, such as in the function of BPD as a container and channel for community aspirations because there are some community aspirations that have not been realized and the determination of village regulations with the village head because there is no definitive village head. Furthermore, the supervisory function of the BPD has been well implemented, both supervision of the performance of the village head and supervision of the RKPDes and APBDes.
