Abstract
Atambua City is a border city that borders directly with the State of Timor Leste and is also close to the Australian Continent, therefore Atambua City is a transit city that needs to pay attention to the aspect of decent and adequate rest facilities for visitors in Atambua City who are on long trips for business purposes or on vacation and meeting distant family. Therefore, it requires a temporary place to rest for a short period of time which is usually called a Hotel. A hotel is a place that has many rooms used as a place to stay and a place to eat for visitors who are traveling long distances from outside the city or country. Hotels are managed commercially, in hotels you can get a place to rest that serves food and drinks and adequate services provided by hotel managers with the aim of making a profit. Hotels with ordinary class levels provide luggage carrying services, furniture and decoration facilities, and laundry services. Green architecture uses the energies that are on the site for use. The energy that will be applied is energy saving (conserving energy), climate conditions (working with climate), responding to the condition of the building site (respect for site), paying attention to users (respect for users), minimizing new resources (minimizing new resources), and holistic. The selection of green architecture is intended to reduce global warming and the environment and maintain materials that can be recycled. This research method uses field observation data, in the form of direct observation of the intended object to obtain the required data in the form of photos or images, site area, vegetation on the site, topography, geology, hydrology, and non-physical environmental conditions around the location so that it can support the research results to the feasibility of the location study and obtain literature sources as support for the completeness of the research, it can also be in the form of a direct comparative study of objects at three hotels located in the city center in Atambua City. Keywords: Hotel, Green Architecture, Atambua City and Research Methods.
