Abstract

Music is one of the means to express feelings and beauty that exist in the human mind and heart. Music has been known for centuries and is an entertainment that cannot be separated from human life. the very significant development of music in East Nusa Tenggara is not supported by actors, facilities or containers that can hone the skills of musicians in terms of ability and knowledge in music. The planning and design of the Concert Hall and Music Training Center in Kupang City is a building that will be the center of every art activity that includes music training and as a concert venue in East Nusa Tenggara Province, especially in Kupang City which is able to accommodate all activities related to music, the building that will go through the planning and design process also becomes a multi-purpose building or building with a Modern Architecture building approach, the building that is the center of the concert and music training is also not only local art but also international with various performances such as "music, theater performances, choirs, modern and traditional dances. Modern architecture, or modernist architecture, is an architectural school based on new and innovative construction technologies, especially the use of glass, steel and reinforced concrete; the idea that form must follow function (functionalism) that embraces minimalism; and a rejection of ornament.
