Abstract

This study aims to identify the direction of the land use policy function in Nagekeo Regency after regional expansion from 2007 to 2024. Land use in this area has undergone significant changes due to social, economic, and government policy dynamics. The method used is qualitative descriptive with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study show that there is an increase in the use of agricultural land and settlements, as well as a decrease in shrub and grassland land. Spatial planning policies through RTRW and local regulations are the basis for land use planning, but the main challenges lie in agrarian conflicts, lack of regulatory socialization, and uncontrolled land conversion, especially in strategic projects such as the Lambo Reservoir. This study recommends the need for a participatory approach in policy formulation, increasing spatial data transparency, and protecting people's rights to land.
