Abstract

Managing a rental property involves several challenges for property owners who want to improve their business efficiency and profitability. Common issues include difficulty in choosing the right facilities, inefficient reservation processes, unorganized financial administration, and manual checking of room statuses across different locations. If these issues are not properly managed, they can lead to tenant dissatisfaction and lower operational performance. This research aims to design and develop a web-based information system for managing rental properties as a solution to improve the management of multi-branch rental businesses. The system is developed using the Waterfall model of the SDLC method, which includes stages such as requirements specification, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The system offers several key features, including real-time room status monitoring, an online reservation system, more structured financial management, and optimized facility management. By implementing this web-based system, property owners can manage their properties more easily, transparently, and efficiently. Additionally, this research is expected to serve as a reference for other property owners who want to adopt technology in their business and also provide a foundation for further research in the field of property management information systems.
