Abstract

The village mentoring Program is a program aimed at accelerating the development of the village. However, in the implementation of the village mentoring did not go as expected. This happens because in the implementation of village mentoring, local escort village has no work experience and knowledge about the development of the village and community empowerment. Local escort villages also do not know their duties and functions. In addition, the village local escort does not carry out mentoring and focuses solely on the preparation of its work reports. This research is aimed to know the performance of local village escort in the village of West Nginamanu Wolomeze District Ngada District as well as a factor that affects the performance of local village escort in the village of West Nginamanu Wolomeze District Ngada. The methods that researchers use are the method of qualitative, descriptive methods, data types primary and secondary data obtained using methods of interviews, observations, and documentation. It is then analyzed, presented, and validated to be a scientific study. The results of the study showed, the performance of mentoring performed by local escort village is not maximized. On achievement indicators The village local escort has not shown positive results and the implementation of the mentoring has not carried out properly because it concerns the distance, insufficient terrain conditions and the interruption of communication due to the limitation of cellular networks that impede the process of executing its duties as a local escort of the village. The skills of the village's local escort are still very low and have no work experience in the field of development. Attitude related to the accountability of the village local escort is not in accordance with the actual execution of work because not too focused on the main task and function as the local Pendaping village and not fully understand in drafting RPJMDes. Leadership related to coordinating the field of development conducted by local village escort with the village head has not carried out to the maximum so that the local village escort is less aware of the development problems that exist in the village of West Nginamanu. While the factors that affect performance, on the quality factor and the ability is still a little low that often impedes the implementation of development activities because the training is only done once so that the knowledge in absorption is not maximal. Further supporting facilities, related to the means of work such as material procurement is stuck due to road conditions that can not be missed, lack of labor, then things related to the work environment such as problematic location that has not been agreed and the terrain condition is sometimes very difficult to be missed by the vehicle because the road in the traffic is a Kaplin people who are not allowed for vehicles transporting materials
