Abstract

This study uses quantitative method. The sample in this study is 54 teachers of Public Senior High School 1 Fatuleu Kupang Regency. The collected data through a questionnaire are analyzed applying SmartPLS. The results of descriptive statistic analysis indicate that teachers’ performance (91.8%), working discipline (85.05%) and work motivation (85.05%) at Public Senior High School 1 Fatuleu Kupang Regency are categorized as very good, while the principal’s leadership (82.63%) is good. The results of path analysis show that 1) the principal’s leadership (2.091, sig. 0.037) and work motivation (3.086, sig. 0.002) had a positive and significant effect on teachers’ working discipline at Public Senior High School 1 Fatuleu Kupang Regency; 2) the principal’s leadership (13.253, sig. 0.000), work motivation 4.723, sig. 0.000) and working discipline (1.992, sig. 0.047) had a positive and significant effect on teachers’ performance at Public Senior High School 1 Fatuleu Kupang Regency. The results of determination coefficient (R2) indicate that the principal’s leadership andteachers’ work motivation contribute 76.2% on working discipline. Furthermore, principal’s leadership and work discipline contribute 64.1% on teachers’ performance. Based on these results, it is recommended to the management of Public Senior High School 1 Fatuleu Kupang Regency to 1) maintain the teachers’ best working discipline by keeping this teaching discipline in spite of covid-19; 2) to enhance leadership to be the best by exercising managerial function, controlling each work path and guide the teachers to do their assignments according to the lesson plans; 3) to keep the present best work motivation by always guiding and enhancing the teachers to do some changes in supporting the teaching and learning process.
