Abstract

In its activities, ports have an important and strategic role for industrial and trade growth and are a business segment that can contribute to national development. However, ironically, the condition of ports in Indonesia, especially East Nusa Tenggara, is very apprehensive, almost a portion of the existing ports are not feasible or in the sense that they are not paying attention to the physical and environmental conditions in the port area itself. One of the objects of study is the Ippi port terminal in Ende district. Researchers carry out developments by surveying directly into the field, to determine the feasibility of all existing facilities. Answering the problem from the port of Ippi itself, which requires an architectural arrangement with the application of the theme of Vernacular Architectural Transformation which is able to add a thick cultural impression when tourists or visitors or natives dock at the Ippi port terminal
