Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of a constructivist approach to mathematics achievement class X SMA Ki Hajar Devantoro Kupang The method used is experimental research, research design is one group pretest and posttest design. The sample in this research is class X which numbered 16 people. The data used in this research is data pretest and post test of the experimental class data obtained were analyzed using SPSS 16 and manual analysis. Prior to testing hypotheses, normality test for data pretest and posttest of data, obtained dari hasil Asymp value. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.588> 0.05 while D_hitung = 0.193 <D_tabel = 0.327 thus accepted meaning H_0 normal distribution of data. While data postest Asymp value. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.744> 0.05 while D_hitung = 0.170 < D_tabel = 0.327 thus accepted meaning H_0 normal distribution of data. SPSS analysis of the results obtained Asymp value. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000, while t_hitung = 20.880 with df = n-1, obtained df = 15dengan significant level α / 2 = 0.025 values obtained t_tabel = 2.131Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 <0.05 and t_hitung = 20.880> t_tabel = 2,131. Under the terms t test and criteria for acceptance and rejection H_0 in chapter III with significant level of 5%, it can be concluded H_0 rejected and Ha accepted which means no significant effect constructivist approach to mathematics achievement of students of class X SMA Ki Hajar Dewanto Kupang academic year 2015 / 2016. These results indicate that the effect on the constructivist approach to mathematics achievement therefore the authors suggest for teachers to use as one of the constructivist approach learning in class in accordance with the material taught.
