Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine (1) is there an influence of interest in learning on mathematics learning achievement in junior high school, (2) is there an influence of learning motivation on mathematics learning achievement in junior high school, (3) is there an influence of interest in learning and learning motivation on mathematics learning achievement in junior high school . The type of research used is quantitative research with an inferential approach. This research was conducted at the UPTD of SMP Negeri 1 Kupang in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The population in this study were students of class VII UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Kupang. The sample in this study was class VII K totaling 30 students obtained through cluster random sampling technique. The instrument used is a questionnaire of interest in learning mathematics and a questionnaire on motivation to learn mathematics. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS 22. The results of this study indicate that (1) there is an influence of interest in learning on mathematics learning achievement of students at UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Kupang with a significance value of 0.006 < 0.05 and a value of tcount is 3,001 > ttable is 2,025; (2) there is an influence of learning motivation on mathematics learning achievement of students of UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Kupang with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a tcount value of 5.839 > ttable of 2.025; (3) there is a simultaneous influence of learning interest and learning motivation on mathematics learning achievement of UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Kupang students with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and an Fcount value of 46.687 > Ftableof 3.34.
