Abstract

Learning mathematics in SMP 6 Kupang less effective this is because during the learning process in the state tend to be dominated by the teacher, the students tend to be passive and did not dare to ask questions, express ideas / their ideas in the form of questions and how to solve it. KKM mathematic on SMP 6 Kupang is 60. Students who achieve the KKM below 36% of the 25 students, while in the classical completeness reaches 85%. Then it can be seen that the low mathematics achievement of students in SMP 6 Kupang. Therefore, researchers interested in conducting research using cooperative learning model script, which is expected to improve student achievement SMP 6 Kupang. The purpose of this study was to determine whether or not there are differences in mathematics achievement seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 6 Kupang were taught using cooperative learning model script with conventional learning on the subject of sub-integer arithmetic operations. Samples were students of class VII E is taught by conventional learning with many students and 22 seventh grade students who were taught using the H Cooperative learning model script with lots of 22 students. The method used is an experimental method to design experiments that pretest-posttest control group. The data required are the values of pretest and posttest experimental class (learning Cooperative Script) and control classes (conventional teaching). To test the hypothesis the authors use two mean difference test using independent Samples T Test. Prerequisite test used is the homogeneity and normality test. From the results of calculations on the pretest showed that tcount t table = 6.5642> 2.018 then Ho is rejected. It can be concluded that there are differences in mathematics achievement sub subject of integer arithmetic operations are taught using cooperative learning model Script and conventional learning on the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 6 Kupang semester 2014/2015 academic year. The results are expected to benefit and contribute as well as inputs for education in order to achieve optimal educational goals.
