Abstract
This study aims to describe the implementation of the Jigsaw type cooperative learning model in class VII Kupang 8th State Middle School, to describe the mathematics learning achievement of class VII students of Kupang 8th Middle School in the Jigsaw cooperative learning model and to determine whether or not the Jigsaw learning model influences achievement study mathematics in junior high school students. This research is a quantitative study with a pre-experimental design method with design, one group pretest-posttest. The sample in this study were students of class VII H Kupang 8th Middle School, amounting to 30 students. The data used in this study are observation data and mathematics learning achievement tests of students from the experimental class with the application of the Jigsaw learning model. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and SPSS version 22. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of learning using the Jigsaw learning model for class VII students of Kupang Middle School 8 is Very good, the mathematics learning achievement of class VII students of Kupang Middle School 8 using the Jigsaw learning model is achieved with good predicate and there is a significant effect of achievement student mathematics learning. Therefore, the authors suggest that teachers can apply the Jigsaw learning model to classroom.
