Abstract

The aims of this research are 1) to find out how big the parking tax growth is in Kupang City. 2) To find out what are the factors that influence the low parking tax receipts in 2019-2021. 3) To find out the efforts made by the Municipal Government of Kupang to increase parking tax revenue. This study uses Qualitative Data, a type of data that cannot be measured by numbers. Sources of data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. The sample used in this study is the target, realization, effectiveness, parking tax growth before and during Covid-19 from 2016-2021 which is then calculated based on the parking tax effectiveness and growth formula. In 2016-2018 the realization of parking tax receipts before Covid-19 in the city of Kupang, reached the target every year. However, in 2019-2021 the realization of parking tax revenue has decreased due to Covid-19, a lack of parking receipts in every parking tax object area. In 2017-2021 the percentage of parking tax growth in the city of Kupang is ineffective or fluctuating, and gets a minus.
