Abstract

The spread of churches in the service area of the GMIT Synod is very wide, coupled with the many churches that have just become independent congregations until now, making it difficult for the community to find the location of the GMIT church because there is no Geographic Information System (GIS) available that makes it easy for the public to find out church locations that display information on the number of congregations, church facilities, and pastors serving at each GMIT church easily and quickly. Information on the location of the church is only known and obtained by word of mouth, brochures or search maps for a location of worship so far it has been done manually, namely by asking people around. From the existing problems, it is necessary to create a geographic information system for the Evangelical Christian Church in Timor web-based which can assist the community in finding the location of the GMIT church easily and quickly. The geographic information system was built using the waterfall method and the PHP programming language and MySQL Database. The result of this research is a geographic information system that can help find GMIT church locations, number of congregations, church facilities, and pastors who serve at each GMIT easily and quickly.
