Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how much success in determining water quality for sangkuriang catfish cultivation. The Technical Implementation Unit of the Central Fish Seed Center (UPT BBIS) Noekele got problems in determining suitable water containers for Sangkuriang catfish cultivation. Water for Sangkuriang catfish cultivation is an important component needed for the survival of catfish. The quality of the water at the UPT is still not guaranteed quality. Because, the water put into the container has not been tested, whether or not the water is suitable for sangkuriang catfish breeding. resulting in the growth of catfish becoming obstructed and many catfish dead. To run the process of selecting quality water containers, a decision support system (SPK) is needed to improve the effectiveness of decision making. A decision support system is a system that is able to provide problem solving and communication skills for a problem. There are several methods in decision support systems, and one of the methods used is Fuzzy Simple Additive Weighting (F-SAW). The F-SAW method is used for weighted sums of performance ratings on each alternative on all attributes. Therefore, the research was carried out with the title "Decision Support System for Determining Water Quality for the Development of Sangkuriang Catfish using the Fuzzy Simple Additive Weighting (F-SAW) method", with the hope that this system can help catfish farmers to know the guaranteed water quality and the development of catfish in this place can be as expected.
