Abstract

This thesis is entitled Empowerment of Women-Friendly Villages in Wolwal Village, Alor Barat Daya District, Alor Regency. The formulation of the problem in this research is how to empower women-friendly villages in increasing small-scale welfare according to studies in Joint Business Groups (KUB)?. The background of this research is the low level of human resources in household management, the lack of proper parenting, the presence of domestic violence, the occurrence of commotions between households and even the environment in Wolwal Village. The theoretical framework used to answer the problem under study is women's empowerment by Eli Yuliawanti, Yunda Pernikasari and Indah Riyani. The method used in this research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The technique used to determine informants in this study is using purposive sampling technique. Data sources are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study are data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results of the study show that (1) Empowering women through PDRP is an empowerment that is carried out by looking at existing problems, then seeing the potential of women, (2) Women in women-friendly village groups are given training in the form of skills so that initiatives and innovative abilities are formed and the ability to lead to independence, (3) The implementation of women's empowerment is known by the Wolwal Village government and the local community. The success of empowering women through organizing women's empowerment can be seen from the achievements in the reality of implementation in the field. The suggestions in this research are that it is hoped that the Wolwal Village government will improve women's empowerment programs better in the future
