Abstract

This study purpose to determine the effect of Cooperative Learning models Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) Character Education Based To Student Mathematics Achievement Of SMP. The research method used is quantitative research with pre-experimental method with one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this research is all class VII SMP Negeri 2 Kota Kupang, while the sample in this study are students of class VII F amount 30 students are selected using simple random sampling technique. The instrument used to measure learning achievement is a matter of multiple choice test amounts 20 questions. Data analysis techniques used are t test. Data used in the study are pretest and posttest data values from the experimental class taught by using type cooperative learning models Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) Based on Character Education. After that data was analyzed using the SSPS version 22 program. Before testing hypothesis, in doing prasyrat test that is normality test for pretest data and data postest. From the results of data analysis for prestest in the value obtained Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,191 > 0,05= and Dhitung = 0,132 < 0,242 = Dtabel then thus concluded the data is normally distributed. Where as in posttest data obtained Asymp.Sig value (2-tailed) = 0,200 > 0,05= and Dhitung = 0,120 < 0,242 = Dtabel then thus concluded normally distributed data. Hypothesis testing using paired sample test. The results of the analysis show of Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,000 < 0,05= and thitung = -11,514 < -2,045 = -ttabel, so in conclusion there is effect of Cooperative Learning models Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) Character Education Based To Student Mathematics Achievement of junior high school students. Based on the results of this study, the authors suggest for teachers to be able to make Cooperative Learning models of Student Team Achievement Division based on character education as a method in the process of learning mathematics by adjusting the material being taught.
