Abstract

The agricultural sector in Noemuti District, North Central Timor Regency (TTU), is the main livelihood for the majority of the local population. However, the lack of information regarding crop types and yields hinders the development of this sector. This study aims to develop a web-based Geographic Information System (GIS) that maps the locations of farmer groups in Noemuti District to improve access to agricultural information. The methodology used is the Waterfall software development model. The research stages include system requirements analysis, design, coding, and testing. During the system requirements analysis stage, the necessary agricultural information for users was identified. The system design includes user interface design and database planning to store information about the locations of farmer groups. The coding process uses PHP and MySQL programming languages to build the web-based GIS. Testing is conducted to ensure that all features function according to user needs. The results of the study show that the developed GIS can provide clear maps of the locations of farmer groups, as well as information on crop types and yields, which can be accessed by the agricultural department, extension workers, and the general public. Thus, this GIS is expected to support the increased productivity of farmers in Noemuti District.
