Abstract

According to the government system of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, a village is a legal community unit that is recognized and respected, has territorial boundaries, and has the power to control and manage government affairs and the interests of the local community based on community initiative, origins, and origins of the community. rights, and/or traditional rights. Village Funds are funds transferred through the Regency/City Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget which are sourced from the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget and are intended for villages. To determine the use of Village Funds in financing government administration, implementation of development, community development and empowerment of the Ria Bao Village Community in 2023, research was conducted with the title Evaluation of the Use of Village Funds in 2023 in Development in Ria Bao Village, Nagawutung District, Lembata Regency. This research aims to evaluate the utilization of Village Funds used according to development programs, both physical and empowerment, in Ria Bao Village, Nagawutung District, Lembata Regency in 2023. The results of the research show that in terms of the Village Fund management process, it is quite good, starting from the Excavation of Ideas in each Hamlet, the implementation of Village Conferences , Village Development Planning Deliberations, Preparation of Village Government Work Plans to the determination of the Village Revenue and Expenditure Budget, but from the aspect of results and impact on the community it is still considered less effective because, still 46% of the total development budget is used to support development activities. Based on the results of this research, the researcher suggests further capacity building and comprehensive understanding for the Village Government and the Ria Bao Village Consultative Body so that in preparing and determining the Ria Bao Village Revenue and Expenditure Budget, they can pay more attention to aspects of the effectiveness of utilizing funds better.
