Abstract

The use of media is needed in the learning process. To improve the ability and increase the knowledge of students in responding to the situation of the development of Information Technology, it is necessary to mix the media in learning by applying the learning model. The main problem in this study is how the results of the integration of the PhEt simulation in the Cooperative learning model of the Group Investigation type the subject matter of the Light on students of Class VIIIE SMPK St. Yoseph Naikoten Even Semester Academic Year 2018/2019. Specifically, the problems in this study are: 1) What is the teacher's ability to manage learning with the Integration of PhET simulations on the Cooperative learning model of Group Investigation type? 2) What are the cooperative skills of students in learning activities with the Integration of PhET simulations on Cooperative learning models of Group Investigation types? 3) How is the completeness of the indicators of student learning outcomes in learning with the Integration of PhET simulations on the Cooperative learning model of the Group Investigation type? 4) How do the learning outcomes of physics learners in learning with the Integration of PhET simulations on Cooperative learning models of Group Investigation type? 5) What is the response of students to the implementation of learning activities with the Integration of PhET simulations on the Cooperative learning type Group Investigation model? This research is a descriptive study with research subjects of class VIIIE SMPK St. Yoseph Naikoten Kupang, amounting to 28 people. The instrument used in this study is the Learning Management Implementation Observation Sheet that applies the Cooperative learning model of the type of Group Investigation, Cooperative Skills Observation Sheet for Students, Learning Outcomes Test (THB) and Questionnaire for Students' Response. The data analysis technique used in this study is descriptive analysis techniques. From the results of the analysis it was found that the teacher's ability to manage learning that applied the cooperative learning type Group Investigation model was good, with an average score of each aspect, namely: learning planning 3.76, implementation of learning 3.76, and learning evaluation planning 3.80 . Students' cooperative skills which include aspects of being in a task, taking turns and sharing assignments, encouraging participation, listening actively and asking questions or answering everything are within the limits of the effectiveness set. The twelve learning outcome indicators prepared were all completed with an average proportion of ≥ 74% or 74 0.74% which reached 1.00. Student learning outcomes are all completed with an initial test average of 0.40 to 0.89 in the final test. Student responses to learning activities are very good in the assessment range (81-100)%.
