Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe or analyze partnerships and support the development of Ular Palace ecotourism in Galang Village, Welak District, West Manggarai Regency. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with purposive sampling technique. Data sources include secondary data and primary data. The variable in this research is the partnership between the village government, the private sector and the community in supporting the development of Ular Palace ecotourism. The research results show that first, from the aspect of the government's role, the Galang Village Government is committed to developing Ular Palace ecotourism by allocating a budget to build important facilities such as toilets, bathrooms and parking lots, with the aim of increasing visitor comfort. Apart from that, the construction of a lopo for MSMEs and the Thousand Steps leading to the Snake Palace Cave also enriches the tourist experience and supports the local economy. Through collaboration with local governments and promotional strategies involving social media and direct interaction with tourists, it is hoped that ecotourism can become a source of sustainable income that improves the welfare of the people of Galang Village. Second, judging from the role of the private sector, the involvement of the private sector, including Asita and HPI West Manggarai Branch as well as local entrepreneurs in Galang Village, has greatly contributed to the development of Ular Palace ecotourism. Travel agents provide services such as tour packages and guides, while HPI provides education about environmental conservation. Local entrepreneurs set up restaurants and sell handicrafts, which enriches the tourist experience and supports the local economy. Therefore, it is recommended that the government, in this case, namely the Galang Village Government, continue to strengthen its commitment in developing Ular Palace ecotourism, apart from that, the private sector must also strengthen collaboration in developing Ular Palace ecotourism by improving the services and products offered to tourists. And for the community, the traditional snake-calling ritual in the Snake Palace Cave continues to be promoted as an integral part of ecotourism to attract more tourists and increase awareness of the importance of cultural and environmental preservation.
