Abstract

A sports center is an expansion of a certain scale that can be associated with a sports center that provides other facilities that are useful for the community. A sports center can be a sports building that accommodates sports activities, including training, recreation and competitive activities. The city of Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara is quite diverse. You can find natural tourist destinations such as beaches, children's play tourism, mall tourism and culinary tourism in the city of Kupang. That's why this place is very suitable for sports activities. Kupang City is the largest city on Timor Island, located on the coast of Kupang Bay, the northwestern part of Timor Island. Because it is located close to the ocean and also on the outskirts of town, of course you can enjoy the beautiful natural atmosphere of the beach. Various tourist attractions in the city of Kupang can be an alternative holiday to calm your mind for a moment. One of the reasons why the sports culture in our country is still low is the lack of facilities and infrastructure. The focus is on the function of trade centers and other facilities. By designing a sports center that is facilitated by a multifunctional modern architectural approach, it is hoped that the sports center building will be more comfortable. Characteristics of modern architecture which applies natural lighting and ventilation to the building as well as the use of steel and glass materials which makes the sports center building transparent, and implements flexible spaces with bright colors and is comfortable for sports users.
