Abstract

The main problem in this research is about how to implement a learning and ist effect on student learning achievem ent taught by the group investigation learning model. The purpose on thi research is to find out the implementation of learning models on student mathematics learning achievement. This type of research is quantitative research with experiental design. This research was conducted in SMP N 3 Kupang. The population in this research was as straight as students of all eighth grade students of SMP N 3 Kupang. The sample in this research was class VIII K SMP N 3 Kupang which was randomly selected from 12 classes with simple random sampling technique. The instrument in this research was observation and student learning outcomes tests as many as 25 items in the form of multiple choices. Data analysis techniques was used in this research are quantitative descriptive analysis and inferential statistics. Based on result of observation and target of indicators, it was obtained and learning achievement of student are in good classified. Meanwhile according to calculation of T-test shows tcal = 25,830 and ttab = 2,042 in level of significance 5%, it means tcal ttab, accordingly H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. Therefore it be concluded that are significant effect in usage of learning model with group investigation type to mathematic learning achievement of student class VIII.
