Abstract
Weather is an important factor of daily human life and has a big role in almost every field of life, because human activities are highly dependent on weather conditions. Uncertain weather predictions can be a problem for humans who will experience many obstacles in carrying out daily activities. One method used in overcoming this problem is to conduct a comparative analysis by applying a Fuzzy Logic model using the Mamdani Method and Sugeno Method. The purpose of this research is to compare the performance of the Mamdani method and the Sugeno Method in Fuzzy Logic to be used as an alternative by the BMKG Class II EL Tari Kupang, in predicting daily weather in Kupang City. There are 2 (two) parameters used in this study, namely input parameters and output parameters. The input parameters consist of 5 (five) variables including air temperature, air humidity, air pressure, wind speed and sunshine duration, while for the output parameters there is 1 (one) variable, namely weather. . Based on the results of the analysis and discussion carried out from 30 daily data used as test data by determining the Mean Absolute Percentage Error value of the fuzzy-Mamdani method and the fuzzy-Sugeno method, the results of daily weather prediction in Kupang City are as follows: Daily weather predictions using the fuzzy-Mamdani method get an error value of 0,00998495 and the fuzzy-Sugeno method gets an error value of 0,005027637 where the fuzzy-Sugeno method gets an error value close to zero, because it has a smaller error tendency than the fuzzy-Mamdani method. So it can be stated that the fuzzy-Sugeno method is more optimal and superior to be used in the case study of daily weather prediction in Kupang City compared to using the fuzzy-Mamdani method.
