Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this study is whether labor, price, production amount, and place of business rental affect the income of tailor in Kelurahan Solor Kota Kupang? The purpose of this study was to analyze labor force, price, production amount, and place of business rent which affected tailor income in Kelurahan Solor Kota Kupang. Research using descriptive qualitative analysis tools. The data in this study are primary and secondary obtained from interviews and questionnaires conducted on tailor in the urban village of Kupang city totaling 20 tailor and secondary data was obtained from previous research journals on small and medium businesses. From the results of the study it was found that labor affects the income of tailors in Solor Kupang City, because where if the income obtained for employers is very sufficient then the income of the income generated by employers is not sufficient, workers must also adjust income. The selling price also influences the income in Solor Kota Kupang, because where if the number of stitches is large the selling price increases. But if the number of stitches is small, the selling price decreases. The amount of production affects the income because if the quality is not possible then the amount of production will decrease. Lease on business has an effect on income because the place of business greatly influences revenue and selling price. The highest respondent’s gross income was Rp.10.360.000 and the lowest income was Rp.3.030.000. The highest net income turnover is Rp.8.671.000 and the lowest income is Rp.1.769.000. Based on this research it is recommended for employers to be able to choose a strategic place that can be an attraction for everyone and skilled and educated workforce that can guarante the quality of stitches. The selling price must be in accordance with the quality of the stitches as well as the type of fabric chosen. The production amount must match the order quantity. Leasing the chosen business location, otherwise, must support, so that the business owner can rent the place according to the situation of the place.
