Abstract

Airport development often requires land expansion, which implies land acquisition from the community. This process needs to be analyzed jurisprudently to ensure its compliance with the regulations of the applicable legislation, in particular the Act No. 5 of 1960 on Agraria (UUPA) and the Law No. 2 of 2012 on Procurement of Land for Development for Public Interest. This research aims to study the process of land acquisition of the expansion of Komodo Airport reviewed from the jurisprudential aspects, on the basis of UUPA and Act No. 12 of 2012. The method of research used is normative juridic, by means of research and analysis of relevant legislative regulations, as well as the study of related literature. The results of the research show that the acquisition of land for the expansion of the airport can be done subject to the provisions of UUPA and Act No. 12 of 2012.
