Abstract
This research is a qualitative research that aims to analyze the understanding of mathematical concept of students of Kupang Christian High Shcool 1 in solving problems in linear program material. The subjects in this study were three students of class XI who had high, medium, and low midterm grades. In addition, the selection of subject teachers. The data collected in the form of data form problem solving tasks and interview results based on indicators of concepts understanding. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of the data uses time triangulation. After the data has been presented and analyzed,it can be concluded that (1) Students with high midterm assessment results are able to complete the questions of concept understanding, namely indicators of translation, interpretation and extrapolation. (2) Students with midterm assessment results are only meeting one indicator of concept understanding, namely extrapolation indicators. (3) While students with low midterm assessment results do not meet all three indicators in understanding the concept.
