Abstract
The aim of this research is to describe the application of the ethnomathematics-based Realistic Mathematics Education (PMR) approach to improve student learning outcomes at SMA Negeri 2 Kupang Tengah. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) referring to the Kemmis & McTaggrat model, with qualitative and quantitative data types. This research was carried out at SMA Negeri 2 Kupang Tengah. The research results show that the application of an ethnomathematics-based Realistic Mathematics Education (PMR) approach can improve learning outcomes at SMA Negeri 2 Kupang Tengah. This is proven by the percentage of student learning that was completed in cycle I, namely 68.75%, then in cycle II it increased to 84.375%.
