Abstract

Land rights are fundamental rights that mean a lot to society for one's dignity and freedom. On the other hand, it is the obligation of the state to guarantee legal certainty for the right to the land even though the right is still limited by the interests of others, the community, and even more so the state. In this case the recognition of land ownership is concretized by the issuance of a certificate of land title. A certificate is a letter of proof of land rights, an acknowledgement and affirmation from the state of individual or joint land tenure or a legal entity whose name is written in it and explaining the location, drawing, size and boundaries of the land parcel as contained in Article 19 paragraph (2) letter c of the UUPA.
