Abstract

This research is titled "The Strategy of the Kupang City Election Supervisory Board in Preventing and Addressing Election Violations in 2024." The problem formulation in this research is how the strategy of the Kupang City Election Supervisory Body in preventing election violations in the 2024 elections. The objective of this research is to describe and analyze the strategies of the Kupang City Election Supervisory Body in preventing electoral violations in the 2024 elections. Efforts to prevent and address electoral violations are one of the indicators of Bawaslu's success in achieving national priority outputs, which are the implementation of the duties and functions of Election Supervisors. Therefore, monitoring potential violations at every stage of the election process from the outset becomes an obligation inherent to every election supervisor. The research method used in this study is descriptive research, with a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used in this research are interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used in this research involves several steps, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion and data verification. The research results show that the Kupang City Bawaslu has effectively carried out supervision in implementing prevention and enforcement strategies. The preventive strategy steps taken by Bawaslu Kota Kupang include issuing advisory letters, holding coordination meetings and audiences with partners, conducting coordination meetingswith stakeholders, forming citizen forums as part of participatory election supervision, and socializing with community elements. Meanwhile, the enforcement strategy steps taken by Bawaslu Kota Kupang involve collaborating with the prosecutor's office and Gakmundu in conducting monitoring, supervision, and evaluation activities at every stage of the election process.
