Abstract

Changes in the unit prices of labor, materials, and equipment are crucial factors that influence costs and profits in construction projects. In the context of increasingly complex infrastructure development, price fluctuations in the market can cause discrepancies between initial estimates and actual project costs. This study aims to analyze the contribution of each resource to the total project cost and the relationship between changes in the unit prices of resources and project costs and profits. This study was conducted on the Tuaneo–Bonioen road improvement project in Rote Ndao, using a research method that analyzed unit price variations with a change range of -10% to +10% at 1% intervals. Based on theory, if the contribution of a resource is significant, an increase in the unit price of that resource will have a major impact on total project costs and ultimately on project profits. The results of the study show that the total labor costs amounted to Rp. 88,336,625.84, contributing 2.2756% to the project costs. Material resources have a total cost of Rp. 2,690,689,770.38, contributing 69.3130% to project costs, while equipment resources with a total cost of Rp. 1,096,191,616.18 contribute 28.2382%. Further analysis reveals that a 1% increase in labor unit prices results in an increase in project costs of Rp. 83,201.13, while project profits decrease to Rp. 485,159,731.80. For Pen 60-70 asphalt materials, the same unit price increase resulted in a project cost increase of Rp. 14,212,390.39, with project profit decreasing to Rp. 471,030,542.54. Similarly, for Dump Truck 4.5 M3 equipment, a 1% increase in unit price caused project costs to rise by Rp. 9,178,627.74, and project profit decreased to Rp. 476,064,305.19. A decrease in unit price reduces cost contribution and project costs, thereby increasing profit, while an increase in unit price increases cost contribution and project costs, resulting in a decrease in profit.
